Heres just a few different finishes we offer,

Venetian Plastering is also known as Polished plastering, this is a term for the finish of some plasters, and for the description of new and updated forms of traditional Italian Plaster finishes.

The term covers a whole range of decorative plaster finishes - from the very highly polished Venetian Plaster and Marmorino to the rugged look of textured polished plasters.
Polished plaster itself tends to consist of slaked lime, marble dust, and/or marble chips (which give each plaster its distinctive look).

Polished Plaster is mainly used internally, on walls and ceilings, to give a finish that looks like polished marble, travertine, or limestone.

Such plasters are usually applied over a primer and base coat base, from 1 to 4 layers. They are finished (burnished) with a specialised steel trowel to a smooth glass-like sheen.
Polished plaster is usually sealed with a protective layer of wax.

All of our finishes are ideal for bathrooms & shower areas etc. Giving you the client choices other than tiles.

Dont worry if you havent seen a specific finishes that suits your needs, we are able to create the finish just for your project.

  •  Venetian plaster is also known as stucco lustro, lucidato, stucco veneziano, Grasello and Spatulata. We import the finest Venetian plaster from Italy.Venetian plaster is a pre-tinted paste of lime putty and approximately 45% fine marble flour that dries to a glass like smoothness with incredible depth thus beautifully replicating marble.Venetian plaster can be directly applied to primed, conventionally plastered walls or ceilings. Up to four thin layers are applied. As each tissue thin coat builds, translucency and depth of colour increase. The final coat is heavily burnished with the trowel resulting in a smooth, highly polished marble-like lustre. The finished surface has a build of less than 1mm. It is then protected with various coats of wax to repel stains and water and to enhance shine.

  • Marmorino (Polished Plaster), This decorative finish, the most typical in the Venetian tradition is a natural limed-based plaster which is used on interior and exterior wall surfaces. The surface is smooth and slightly shiny, with light contrasts (gentle light and shade effects) giving a sense of depth. This is thanks to the elaborate workmanship. Marmorino polished plaster can also be finished distressed or pitted to add another dimension, It also has an excellent drying capacity and it is naturally mildew resistant.

  • Metallic Marmorino This is a variation of Marmorino. The metallic effect is obtained by the addition of a large quantity of fine varicoloured metallic powder instead of the usual marble powder. This finish has a soft-looking effect which changes depending on the refraction of light against the surface and your point of reference.

  • Intonachino This natural lime based plaster can also be used internally and externally, This plaster comes in extra course, course, medium, fine and extra fine. We can colour this plaster to any of the 100+ colours or add a metallic colour wash. There are many different finishes achievable by using the different grades of plaster. Some of the finishes we can achieve are matt smooth, dragged and pitted.
